Helping fight diabetes

Iloilo provincial administrator Manuel "Boy" Mejorada turns over a brand-new One Touch blood sugar monitoring kit to the Municipality of Miag-ao, Iloilo to help constituents keep track of their glucose levels and guard against the adverse effects of diabetes. The kit was received by Mayor Julieta Flores (2nd from left), with municipal administrator Gerry Flores and Dr. Anthony Montalban. Looking on is Dr. Patricia Grace Trabado, provincial health officer. The kit was donated by Ms. Allyn Joy Defensor-Ponella of New York City and Badiangan, Iloilo.
